71828-14-3 Usage
Uses
Used in Animal Health:
Avermectin B1a aglycone is used as an anthelmintic agent for the treatment and control of parasitic nematode infections in animals. It effectively inhibits the development of nematode larvae, helping to reduce the parasite burden and improve the overall health of the animals.
Used in Environmental Studies:
Avermectin B1a aglycone can be used as a research tool in environmental studies to investigate its presence, distribution, and potential impact on ecosystems. Understanding the levels and activity of avermectin aglycone in the environment can help in assessing its ecological risks and informing better management practices.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 71828-14-3 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,1,8,2 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 71828-14:
(7*7)+(6*1)+(5*8)+(4*2)+(3*8)+(2*1)+(1*4)=133
133 % 10 = 3
So 71828-14-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The glycosyltransferase AveBI, which is involved in the biosynthesis of the macrolide antihelmintic avermectin (AVM), was characterized in vitro. AveBI was confirmed to catalyze two separate iterative additions of l-oleandrose, and the reversibility of AveBI-catalyzed reaction was also demonstrated. Investigation of sugar nucleotide specificity revealed 10 unique sugar nucleotide substrates which, in combination with five distinct aglycones, led to the production of 50 differentially glycosylated AVM variants.
