Hypotensive activity is exhibited by compounds having the formula STR1 wherein: R1 is hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl or STR2 wherein R5 is alkyl or aryl; R2 is hydrogen, alkyl, or haloalkyl; R3 is furanyl, thienyl or pyridyl; R4 is hydrogen, alkyl or arylalkyl; and n is 0, 1 or 2.
