Electroformation of giant vesicles from thiophene-containing rod-coil diblock copolymers was analyzed. The giant aggregates were found to have a fluidic membrane and are capable of encapsulating solutes, similar to vesicles prepared by the injection method despite their rigid-rod block copolymer nature. The thiophene group inside the vesicles were found polymerizable. It was found that polymerizable vesicles opens the possibility to regulate the rigidity of the vesicle membrane, freezing them in a desired morphology.
