Aniline, also known as aminobenzene, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H5NH2, consisting of a benzene ring with an amino group attached to it. It is a colorless oily liquid that is soluble in water and is widely used in the production of dyes, pharmaceuticals, and various chemical intermediates. Phenol, on the other hand, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H5OH, featuring a hydroxyl group attached to a benzene ring. It is a colorless crystalline solid that is soluble in water and is used in the production of resins, plastics, and as a disinfectant. When combined, aniline and phenol can form various compounds, such as aniline-phenol condensation products, which are used in the synthesis of polyurethane foams, adhesives, and other polymer materials. These compounds exhibit unique properties, such as high thermal stability and excellent mechanical strength, making them valuable in various industrial applications.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 7274-00-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,2,7 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7274-00:
(6*7)+(5*2)+(4*7)+(3*4)+(2*0)+(1*0)=92
92 % 10 = 2
So 7274-00-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Aromatic Nucleophilic Substitution Reactions of Some 2-L-3-Nitro-5-X-thiophenes with Piperidine and Aniline in Methanol. Substituent Constants for the Thiophene System

Consiglio, Giovanni,Frenna, Vincenzo,Arnone, Caterina,Mezzina, Elisabetta,Spinelli, Domenico

, p. 2187 - 2190 (2007/10/02)

The rate constants for the reactions of some 2-L-3-nitro-5-X-thiophenes 1-4 with aniline and of compounds (4) with piperidine in methanol have been measured at various temperatures.By using the data obtained in this work as well as previously available data sets, a series of optimized 'thiophene' ?τ values has been calculated. The susceptibility constants ρ(L) of the various sets have been analysed in the framework of the reactivity-selectivity principle.
