Methyl linolenate, also known as methyl (9Z,12Z)-octadeca-9,12-dienoate, is a naturally occurring unsaturated fatty acid ester derived from the plant oils rich in linolenic acid, such as flaxseed, soybean, and canola oils. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a characteristic fatty odor and is widely used in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries. Methyl linolenate is known for its health benefits, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of cell membranes and promoting overall health.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 7361-80-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,3,6 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7361-80:
(6*7)+(5*3)+(4*6)+(3*1)+(2*8)+(1*0)=100
100 % 10 = 0
So 7361-80-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

ADDUCTS OF LEVULINIC DERIVATIVES WITH EPOXIDIZED FATTY ACID ESTERS AND USES THEREOF

-

Page/Page column 19-20, (2010/11/27)

The present disclosure relates to methods of preparation of compounds resulting from the reaction of levulinic esters and epoxidized unsaturated fatty acid esters. The compounds are useful as renewable biomass-based plasticizers for a variety of polymers. Mono-, di- and tri-ketal adducts formed in a reaction between alkyl esters of levulinate and epoxidized unsaturated fatty acid esters derived from vegetable oils are also disclosed.
