The reaction of tetrakis(trifluoromethyl)(Dewar thiophene) (1) with azide compounds 2, including hydrogen azide, gave high yields of 1,3-dipolar cycloadducts 3.Compounds 3a-d were desulfurized with triphenylphosphine to afford cyclobutatriazoline compound
