Addition of bromotrichloromethane and tetrachloromethane to cis-cyclooctene, cyclohexene, and norbornadiene in the presence of palladium(II) complexes
Dneprovskii,Ermoshkin,Kasatochkin,Boyarskii
, p. 933 - 946 (2007/10/03)
Addition of bromotrichloromethane and tetrachloromethane to alkenes in the presence of palladium(II) complexes begins with single-electron transfer from the palladium atom to polyhalomethane molecule, followed by fragmentation of the radical anion thus formed and generation of trichloromethyl radical. Halogen transfer to a carbon-centered radical arising from addition of trichloromethyl radical at the double bond occurs both from the polyhalomethane molecule and from halide palladium complex.
Studies on sulfinatodehalogenation: The addition reaction of halocarbons with olefins initiated by sodium dithionite
Wu,Huang
, p. 59 - 61 (2007/10/03)
Halocarbons such as carbon tetrachloride, CCl3Br, CF3CCl3, BrCF2CF2Br, BrCF2CFClBr and CF2Br2, reacted with olefins in the presence of the sulfinatodehalogenation reagent sodium dithionite under mild conditions to give the corresponding adducts. In the case of F113, CFCl2CF2CFCl2 and CF3Cl3, the polyfluoroalkylation product resulted.
Homolytic addition of bromine-containing addends to cyclohexene
Vasil'eva, T. T.,Mysov, E. I.,Terent'ev, A. B.
, p. 2062 - 2064 (2007/10/02)
The addition of XBr (X = CCl3, CHBr2, CH2CO2Me, or PhCH2) to cyclohexene in the presence of benzoyl peroxide (BP) or Fe(CO)5 + DMF was studied. In the presence of BP, a product of the addition of the Br and PhCO2 radicals is formed along with the expected adduct. The content of the former increases as the efficiency of XBr as the carrier of the chain reaction decreases. - Key words: radicals; addition; cyclohexene; bromotrichloromethane; bromoform; methyl bromoacetate; benzyl bromide; metallocomplex initiation.
ADDITION OF POLYHALOGENO DERIVATIVES TO OLEFINS IN THE PRESENCE OF DICHLOROBIS(TRIPHENYLPHOSPHINE)NICKEL(II) AND PROPYLAMAGNESIUM BROMIDE
Saushkina, T. P.,Zubritskii, L. M.,Petrov, A. A.
, p. 620 - 622 (2007/10/02)
Bromotrichloromethane and carbon tetrachloride add to monosubstituted and 2,2- and 1,2-disubstituted and trisubstituted olefins in the presence of the products from the reaction of nickel(II) complexes and alkylmagnesium halides. The trichloromethyl group is attached to the least substituted carbon atom of the double bond.
PALLADIUM-CATALYZED ADDITION REACTION OF POLYHALOALKANES TO OLEFINS
Tsuji, Jiro,Sato, Koji,Nagashima, Hideo
, p. 393 - 398 (2007/10/02)
Pd(OAc)2 combined with phosphines catalyzes homolytic cleavage of the C-Cl bond of CCl4 and CCl3CO2CH3 leading to facile addition to olefins under mild conditions.BrCCl3 also reacts with olefins to give 1,1,1-trichloro-3-bromoalkanes.The reaction is accel
ACTIVATION OF POLYHALOALKANES BY PALLADIUM CATALYST. FACILE ADDITION OF POLYHALOALKANES TO OLEFINS
Tsuji, Jiro,Sato, Koji,Nagashima, Hideo
, p. 1169 - 1170 (2007/10/02)
Addition reaction of CCl4, CCl3Br, and CCl3CO2Me to olefins proceeded under mild conditions to afford 1 : 1 adduct in high yields by using palladium-phosphine complexes as a catalyst in the presence of bases. The reaction proceeded even at room temperature
