Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 75353-47-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,5,3,5 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 75353-47:
(7*7)+(6*5)+(5*3)+(4*5)+(3*3)+(2*4)+(1*7)=138
138 % 10 = 8
So 75353-47-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Godard, Alain,Queguiner, Guy
, p. 465 - 473 (2007/10/02)
