Benzene, 1-butyl-4-propyl-, also known as 1-butyl-4-propylbenzene or 1,4-di-n-propylbenzene, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C12H18. It is a derivative of benzene, where two propyl groups are attached to the 1st and 4th carbon atoms of the benzene ring, and one butyl group is attached to the 1st carbon atom. Benzene, 1-butyl-4-propyl- is a colorless liquid with a density of approximately 0.84 g/cm3 and a boiling point of around 232°C. It is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. 1-butyl-4-propylbenzene is primarily used as a chemical intermediate in the synthesis of various pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and other specialty chemicals. Due to its aromatic nature, it may also be used as a solvent or a precursor in the production of polymers and resins.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 7641-82-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,6,4 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7641-82:
(6*7)+(5*6)+(4*4)+(3*1)+(2*8)+(1*2)=109
109 % 10 = 9
So 7641-82-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

supporting information; experimental part, p. 116 - 119 (2010/03/04)

Chemical Equation Presented (Cyclopropylidenecyclohexyl)benzene derivatives, a kind of methylenecyclopropane (MCP) containing a cyclohexyl group, can undergo an interesting tandem intramolecular C-H and C-C bond activation through dehydrogenated rearrangement in the presence of AuPPh 3Cl/AgOTf by transferring three hydrogen atoms from cyclohexane to cyclopropane, affording the corresponding biaryl derivatives in moderate to good yields. The reaction mechanism has also been carefully investigated by deuterium labeling experiments and DFT calculations
