The protonation of N-aryl-1,4-benzoquinone monoimines in nonaqueous media was investigated by a spectrophotometric method.A series of N-aryl-1,4-benzoquinone monoiminium salts were synthesized for the first time in the solid form.The structure of the obtained compounds was investigated by 1H NMR spectroscopy.
