PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound that has all of a low rotational viscosity coefficient (γ1), a high transparent point (T-i), and high miscibility with another liquid crystal compound, a method for producing the same, and a liquid crystal composition and a liquid crystal display element having the compound as a component. SOLUTION: The present invention provides a compound represented by formula (A) (Ra1 and Ra2 independently represent C1-15 alkyl or C2-15 alkenyl; Aa1 and Aa2 independently represent 1,4-cyclohexylene, 1,4-phenylene group or the like; Za1 and Za2 independently represent -CH2O-, -OCH2-, -CF2O-, -OCF2- or the like; na and ma independently represent an integer of 0-2, and na+ma is an integer of 1-3).
