Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 77167-06-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,7,1,6 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 77167-06:
(7*7)+(6*7)+(5*1)+(4*6)+(3*7)+(2*0)+(1*6)=147
147 % 10 = 7
So 77167-06-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Polymorphism in secondary benzene sulfonamides

Sanphui, Palash,Sarma, Bipul,Nangia, Ashwini

experimental part, p. 4550 - 4564 (2011/12/22)

The role of about 20 different solvents in the crystallization of polymorphs for 13 N-phenyl benzene sulfonamides was studied. Five compounds (1, 2, 3, 7, and 11) are dimorphic, and one is trimorphic (6). All the crystalline solids were characterized by p

Synthesis of 2,6-disubstituted and 2,3,6-trisubstituted anilines

Pews,Hunter,Wehrmeyer

, p. 4809 - 4820 (2007/10/02)

A number of 2,6-disubstituted and 2,3,6-trisubstituted anilines have been prepared via the selective para dehalogenation of the corresponding anilines. Modification of the substituents on the amino nitrogen demonstrates that the selectivity is derived from steric rather than electronic effects. The effects of the choice of formate hydrogen donor, Pd catalyst, solvent, and temperature upon the efficiency and selectivity of the dehalogenation are discussed.
