Z-Glu(OMe)-Cys(Bzl)-Gly-NHBzh is a peptide compound consisting of four amino acids: glutamic acid (Glu), cysteine (Cys), glycine (Gly), and a benzyl-protected hydrazinobenzyloxycarbonyl (NHBzh) group. The sequence is named based on the side chains and protecting groups present in each amino acid: Z-Glu(OMe) indicates glutamic acid with a methoxyethyl (OMe) protecting group on the side chain, Cys(Bzl) signifies cysteine with a benzyl (Bzl) protecting group on the thiol group, and NHBzh represents a hydrazinobenzyloxycarbonyl protecting group. This specific arrangement of amino acids and protecting groups is crucial for the peptide's stability, solubility, and reactivity in various chemical and biological applications, such as drug development and protein synthesis.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 77337-49-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,7,3,3 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 77337-49:
(7*7)+(6*7)+(5*3)+(4*3)+(3*7)+(2*4)+(1*9)=156
156 % 10 = 6
So 77337-49-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis of an Isoglutathione Derivative by Proteases and Its α-->γ Transpeptidation

Hayashi, Mineyuki,Misawa, Masanaru,Isowa, Yoshikazu

, p. 2723 - 2730 (2007/10/02)

Benzyloxycarbonyl-L-cysteine and glycine benzhydrylamide were condensed by papain in a yield of 39.5percent.After elimination of the N-protecting group, L-cysteinylglycine benzhydrylamide was condensed with benzyloxycarbonyl-L-glutamic acid protease from Irpex lacteus Fr. in a yield of 21.0percent.From the isoglutathione derivative thus obtained, a γ-linkage between glutamic acid and cysteine was formed by α-->γ transpeptidation in alkaline conditions after esterification of γ-carboxylic acid.
