The reaction of 4-chlorophthalic anhydride with secondary amines yields a series of 4-substituted naphthalenic anhydrides which have strong luminescence in the yellow-green region. 4-Morpholinonaphthalic anhydride which has a high luminescence quantum yield was used to synthese N-substitutes imides of 4-morpholinonaphthenic acid which are more resistant to the action of alkali and are also yellow-green luminophores.The spectral and luminescence properties of these compounds were studied.
