Usage

Description

CAPRYLOYL SALICYLIC ACID is a derivative of salicylic acid. It is an exfoliant, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic reagent. It can be used for the treatment of the appearance of dry damaged skin, reducing dry patches/flaking and blackheads, whiteheads. It is an aromatic acid that can be used in cosmetic formulations as a denaturant, hair-conditioning agent, and skin-conditioning agent--miscellaneous in a wide range of cosmetic products.

Preparation method of 5-capryloyl salicylic acid

The invention discloses a preparation method of 5-capryloyl salicylic acid, and belongs to the technical field of organic synthesis. The method comprises the following steps of: adding capryloyl chloride and salicylic acid as raw materials into a solution of a composite catalyst consisting of lewis acid and tris (pentafluorophenyl) borane, carrying out Friedel-Crafts acylation to obtain 5-capryloyl salicylic acid, carrying out post-treatment, salifying with organic alkali, purifying, and then dissociating to obtain a product. The operation is simple, the product with the purity of 99.7% can be obtained at one time, and the three wastes are few.
