The reactions of various arylantimony compounds with titanium(IV) chloride have been studied.Tetraphenylstibonium chloride is found to react with titanium tetrachloride to give the complex salts, and 2.Triphenylantimony dichloride forms the adduct Ph3SbCl2*TiCl4 with titanium tetrachloride.Another adduct, Ph3SbCl2*TiCl3, is obtained as a result of the reaction between triphenylstibine and titanium tetrachloride. The complexes have been characterised on the basis of elemental analyses, infrared and electronic spectral data, conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements.
