It was shown by 19F and 1H NMR spectroscopy that the reaction of 1,3,5-tris(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)benzene (sulfone A) with diethylamine in moist DMSO leads to the formation of the hydroxyl ? complex of the sulfone (A).
