The mixed cyclic condensation of α,β-unsatureted ketones, one of which contained a methyl group at the β-carbon atom, was investigated.Dehydration of the obtained cyclohexenols in the presence of catalytic amount of sulfuric acid is accompanied by an allylic shift of the double bonds.
