Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 81535-84-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,1,5,3 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 81535-84:
(7*8)+(6*1)+(5*5)+(4*3)+(3*5)+(2*8)+(1*4)=134
134 % 10 = 4
So 81535-84-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The present invention relates to oxadiazoles that are useful for treating cellular proliferative diseases, for treating disorders associated with KSP kinesin activity, and for inhibiting KSP kinesin. The invention also relates to compositions which comprise these compounds, and methods of using them to treat cancer in mammals.

Room temperature palladium catalysed coupling of acyl chlorides with terminal alkynes

Cox, Russell J.,Ritson, Dougal J.,Dane, Thomas A.,Berge, John,Charmant, Jonathan P. H.,Kantacha, Anob

, p. 1037 - 1039 (2007/10/03)

Conditions are reported for the facile, high-yielding coupling of acyl chlorides with terminal alkynes in a reaction involving palladium and copper iodide; the reaction is tolerant of a wide variety of acyl chlorides and terminal alkynes and provides a co

An efficient palladium-catalyzed protocol for the synthesis of ynones from lithium alkynyltriisopropoxyborates with acid chlorides under mild neutral conditions.

Highly stereoselective addition of stannylcuprates to alkynones

Nielsen, Thomas E.,Cubillo de Dios, Maria A.,Tanner, David

, p. 7309 - 7313 (2007/10/03)

The addition of stannylcuprate reagents such as (Bu3Sn)(PhS)CuLi to alkynones has been found to proceed in high yield and with excellent stereoselectivity for the Z isomer of the product (>95%). The behavior of the stannylcuprates is thus very different from that of their "carbocuprate" counterparts such as Me2CuLi or Me2Cu(CN)Li2 which are nonstereoselective. Furthermore, in contrast to the reactions of (R3Sn)(PhS)CuLi with the corresponding alkynoates, the presence of a proton source in the reaction medium has no effect on the stereoselectivity of the reaction of alkynones.

Direct oxidation of benzylic and allylic silyl ethers to carbonyl compounds

Piva, Olivier,Amougay, Aicha,Pete, Jean-Pierre

, p. 3993 - 3996 (2007/10/02)

Oxidation of benzylic or allylic silyl ethers with DDQ under UV irradiation leads directly to the corresponding carbonyl compounds with moderate to good yields.

Palladium-Catalyzed Reactions of Acyl Chlorides with (1-Alkynyl)tributylstannanes. A Convenient Synthesis for 1-Alkynyl Ketones

Logue, Marshall W.,Teng, Kelly

, p. 2549 - 2553 (2007/10/02)

Acyl chlorides couple with (1-alkynyl)tributylstannanes in the presence of catalytic amounts of palladium(II) or palladium(0) complexes to produce 1-alkynyl ketones in respectable yields. The couplings of isobutyryl, acetyl, benzoyl, and p-nitrobenzoyl chlorides with phenylethynyl-, (trimethylsilyl)ethynyl-, (carbomethoxy)ethynyl-, -1-propynyl>-, and (3,3-diethoxy-1-propynyl)tributylstannanes were investigated in the presence of tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(O), benzylchlorobis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II), dichlorobis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II), or phenyliodobis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II).The reactions are highly selective in that only the alkynyl groups are transferred from the stannane.
