As a continuation of previous research designed to obtain derivatives of 1,3,4-thiadiazole of pharmacological interest, some derivatives of 1,3,4-thiadiazolepyrimidin-5-one and isomeric 7-one were prepared.The fungistatic activity of the products was tested in vitro against the following: Candida albicans, Candida parapsilosis, Candida tropicalis, Cryptococcus neoformans and Trichophyton rubrum.No relevant antifungal activity was observed for any of the compounds examined.
