REACTION OF ARYLDI(2-CHLOROETHYL)AMINES WITH PYROCATECHOL. SYNTHESIS OF MACROCYCLIC DIAZAETHERS

Macrocyclic diazaethers were synthesized by the reaction of the respective N,N-di(2-chloroethyl)arylamines and N-aryl-N-alkylamines with pyrocatechol in the presence of caustic alkalis.Their structures were proved by an alternative synthesis with the isolation of the intermediate products.
