Amino-acids and Peptides Part 47. Synthesis of Peptides Related to Bovine Prothrombin.
Hallett, Allan,Hope, Alan P.,Munns, Michael S.,Richardson, Reginald,Young, Geoffrey T.
, p. 501 - 563 (2007/10/02)
It is known that Fragment 2 of bovine prothrombin inhibits the coagulation of blood plasma, and various considerations suggest that the inhibitory site might be in the 198-215 region (1) of prothrombin.Peptides related to the sequences in the 202-215 region of bovine prothrombin (2) have been synthesised by the picolyl ester method for examination as possible anticoagulation agents, including the bovine fragment 202-215 and the human fragment 204-215, variants of the sequence 210-215, and the bovine and human sequences 202-209.
Amino-acids and Peptides. Part 46. Synthesis of Bradykinin Analogues Modified in the Vicinity of the Carboxy-group
Christiansen, Jan,Young, Geoffrey T.,Bowery, Norman G.
, p. 1229 - 1238 (2007/10/02)
In order to investigate further the effect on biological activity of structural changes in the vicinity of the terminal carboxy-group, the following analogues of bradykinin have been synthesised by the picolyl ester method: bradykinyl-L-isoleucine (2), -L
