A member of 2-(4'-carbethoxymethyl-3'-methyl-5'-oxo-2'-pyrazolin-1'-yl)-4-arylthiazoles (III) and 2-(4'-carbethoxymethyl-3'-methyl-5'-oxo-2'-pyrazolin-1'-yl)benzothiazoles (IV) have been synthesized by the condensation of appropriate 4-aryl-2-hydrazinothiazoles and 2-hydrazinobenzothiazoles, respectively, with diethyl acetylsuccinate.Some of the compounds have shown good antiinflammatory activity.
