Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 851077-61-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 8,5,1,0,7 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 851077-61:
(8*8)+(7*5)+(6*1)+(5*0)+(4*7)+(3*7)+(2*6)+(1*1)=167
167 % 10 = 7
So 851077-61-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Rhodium-catalysed: Ortho -alkynylation of nitroarenes

Echavarren, Antonio M.,García-Morales, Cristina,Mayans, Joan Guillem,Montesinos-Magraner, Marc,Tan, Eric

, p. 14731 - 14739 (2021/12/02)

The ortho-alkynylation of nitro-(hetero)arenes takes place in the presence of a Rh(iii) catalyst to deliver a wide variety of alkynylated nitroarenes regioselectively. These interesting products could be further derivatized by selective reduction of the nitro group or palladium-catalysed couplings. Experimental and computational mechanistic studies demonstrate that the reaction proceeds via a turnover-limiting electrophilic C-H metalation ortho to the strongly electron-withdrawing nitro group. Synthesis of functionalized nitroarylmagnesium halides via an iodine-magnesium exchange

Sapountzis, Ioannis,Dube, Henry,Lewis, Robert,Gommermann, Nina,Knochel, Paul

, p. 2445 - 2454 (2007/10/03)

(Chemical Equation Presented) Various nitro-substituted aryl and heteroaryl iodides undergo an iodine-magnesium exchange reaction when treated with PhMgCl leading to nitro-containing magnesium organometallics. These Grignard reagents display an excellent stability at temperatures below -40°C and do not undergo electron-transfer reactions. They react as expected with various electrophiles.
