The invention relates to the technical field of organic electroluminescent devices and discloses a multidentate binuclear ring metal complex and devices containing the multidentate binuclear ring metal complex or a composition of the multidentate binuclear ring metal complex. The multidentate binuclear ring metal complex can provide the emission of most of the visible spectrum, and the spectral emission can be adjusted by changing of the structure of a ligand or a fluorescent luminous body. In addition, compared with a conventional emission complex, the multidentate binuclear ring metal complex has better stability and efficiency. The devices comprise the multidentate binuclear ring metal complex or the composition of the multidentate binuclear ring metal complex. The devices include optical and electro-optical devices, light absorbing devices, organic light emitting diode devices, light emitting devices, or devices compatible with light absorption and emission. The internal quantum efficiency of the multidentate binuclear ring metal complex or the composition of the multidentate binuclear ring metal complex in the devices is 100%.
