Kinetics of the thermolysis of potential nitrification inhibitors based on the derivatives of 3(5)-methylpyrazole (MP), 1-carbamoyl-3(5)-methylpyrazole (CMP), 1-hydroxymethyl-3(5)-methylpyrazole (HMP), and 3(5)-methylpyrazolyl phosphate (MPP), have been studied by thermogravimetry.Thermal stability is increased by substitution at the nitrogen atom in the series MPP > CMP > HMP > MP.Activation parameters have been calculated from the thermal stability data, and methods are proposed for introducing the inhibitors into fertilizers and their granulation.
