General Description

5-Pyrimidineethanol, also known as 5-hydroxypyrimidine or 5-hydroxymethylpyrimidine, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C5H6N2O. It is a derivative of pyrimidine and contains a hydroxyl group attached to the fifth carbon atom. 5-Pyrimidineethanol is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agricultural chemicals, and it also has potential applications in the development of new materials and as a building block in organic chemistry.
