Some new 2-aryl-5-(3'-indole)-3'-substituted phenyl tetrazolium bromide/iodide salts (IV) were synthesized by the oxidation of 1-aryl-3-(3'-indole)-5-substituted phenyl formazans (III). These compounds III and IV were evaluated for their monoamine oxidase
