Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 88425-15-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 8,8,4,2 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 88425-15:
(7*8)+(6*8)+(5*4)+(4*2)+(3*5)+(2*1)+(1*5)=154
154 % 10 = 4
So 88425-15-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

1-propanephosphonic acid cyclic anhydride (T3P) as an efficient promoter for the Lossen rearrangement: Application to the synthesis of urea and carbamate derivatives

Vasantha, Basavalingappa,Hemantha, Hosahalli P.,Sureshbabu, Vommina V.

experimental part, p. 2990 - 2996 (2010/10/21)

The synthesis of hydroxamic acids starting from carboxylic acids employing 1-propanephosphonic acid cyclic anhydride (T3P) activation is described. Application of ultrasonication accelerates this conversion. Further, the T3P has also been employed to activate the hydroxamates, leading to isocyanates via the Lossen rearrangement. The isocyanates were trapped with suitable nucleophiles to afford the corresponding ureas and carbamates. Georg Thieme Verlag Stuttgart New York.

New and simple synthesis of acid azides, ureas and carbamates from carboxylic acids: Application of peptide coupling agents EDC and HBTU

Sureshbabu, Vommina V.,Lalithamba,Narendra,Hemantha

experimental part, p. 835 - 840 (2010/06/20)

Conversion of carboxylic acids into acid azides using peptide coupling agents, EDC and HBTU is described. The procedure is efficient, practical and applicable to a diverse range of carboxylic acids including N-protected amino acids. Using the same reagents, one-pot synthesis of ureas, dipeptidyl urea esters and carbamates from acids has also been achieved. The Royal Society of Chemistry 2010.

Synthesis of Nα-protected amino acid-derived selenocarbamates employing isocyanates as key intermediates

Sureshbabu, Vommina V.,Naik, Shankar A.

experimental part, p. 2676 - 2685 (2010/11/03)

A simple protocol for the synthesis of Nα-urethane-protected N-alkyl-Se-alkyl selenocarbamate derivatives of amino acids has been described. The reaction of Nα-urethane-protected amino alkyl isocyanates with selenating agent LiAlHSeH and subsequent coupli

Application of carbodiimide mediated Lossen rearrangement for the synthesis of α-ureidopeptides and peptidyl ureas employing N-urethane α-amino/peptidyl hydroxamic acids

Narendra,Chennakrishnareddy, Gundala,Sureshbabu, Vommina V.

experimental part, p. 3520 - 3526 (2010/01/06)

Application of the Lossen rearrangement to the synthesis of N-urethane protected α-peptidyl ureas and ureidopeptides is reported. The carbodiimide mediated rearrangement of N-Boc/Z/Fmoc protected α-amino/peptide hydroxamic acids into isocyanates and coupling of the latter with the amino acid esters/peptide esters have been accomplished in a single-pot to obtain good yields of urea products. Synthesis of the ureidoalanine derivatives via the hydroxamate derivatives of N-protected aspartic acid has also been carried out using the same procedure.

Facile incorporation of urea pseudopeptides into protease substrate analogue inhibitors

Myers, Adam C.,Kowalski, Jennifer A.,Lipton, Mark A.

, p. 5219 - 5222 (2007/10/03)

A new procedure that employs a one-pot, oxidative Hofmann rearrangement to incorporate a urea linkage into peptide backbones is detailed herein. This methodology was used to replace the scissile peptide bonds of [Leu 5]enkephalin and a hexapept
