Novel pyrazole-based HMG CoA reductase inhibitors

Novel compounds and pharmaceutical compositions useful as hypocholesterolemic and hypolipidemic agents are described. More specifically, potent inhibitors of the enzyme 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase (“HMG CoA reductase”) are described.
