9002-12-4 Usage
Chemical Properties
White powder
Uses
Different sources of media describe the Uses of 9002-12-4 differently. You can refer to the following data:
1. In the determination of serum and urine uric acid.
2. Uricase is very important for the determination of uric acid in biological fluids. Uricase is an important medical enzyme which can be used to determine urate in clinical analysis. The enzyme Urate oxidase (UO) catalyzes the oxidation of uric acid to 5-hydroxyisourate.
3. Uricase from Arthrobacter globiformis has been used for coating the electrodes in - biosensor fabrication for the detection of uric acid in urine samples. It has also been used for analysing the effect of Zn, Cu, Mg, and Mn ions on uricase.
General Description
Mice deficient in uricase develop uric acid nephropathy and diabetes insipidus which can be mitigated with recombinant uricase treatment.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Uricase catalyzes the oxidation of uric acid to 5-hydroxyisourate, which subsequently forms (S)-allantoin. It is involved in purine metabolism, urate degradation and (S)-allantoin formation .
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 9002-12-4 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 9,0,0 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 9002-12:
(6*9)+(5*0)+(4*0)+(3*2)+(2*1)+(1*2)=64
64 % 10 = 4
So 9002-12-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
