9032-92-2 Usage
Uses
Used in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology:
O-GLYCOSIDASE is used as a research tool for selectively deglycosylating O-glycans in glycoproteins and glycopeptides. This allows for the study of the structure, function, and interactions of glycoproteins and their glycan moieties.
Used in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Applications:
O-GLYCOSIDASE is used as a therapeutic agent for the selective degradation of O-glycans in certain pathological conditions. For example, it has been used to selectively deglycosylate chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans (CSPGs), which are involved in various diseases and disorders.
Used in Food and Beverage Industry:
O-GLYCOSIDASE is used as a processing aid in the food and beverage industry to modify the glycosylation patterns of proteins, improving their functional properties, such as solubility, stability, and digestibility.
Used in Cosmetics and Personal Care Industry:
O-GLYCOSIDASE is used in cosmetics and personal care products to modify the glycosylation of proteins in the skin, hair, and nails. This can lead to improved hydration, elasticity, and overall health of these tissues.
Used in Environmental and Industrial Applications:
O-GLYCOSIDASE can be employed in the bioremediation of glycoprotein-containing waste materials, as well as in the production of biofuels and other bioproducts from glycoprotein-rich feedstocks.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Releases unsubstituted Ser- and Thr-linked β-Gal-(1→3)-α-GalNAc (Core 1 type O-glycan) from glycoproteins. Substitutions of the disaccharide core with sialic acid, lactosamine (galactose-N-acetyl glucosamine), or fucose will block hydrolysis and prevent the liberation of the oligosaccharide from the protein. Pretreament with glycolytic enzymes to remove substituent saccharides from the O-glycan may be needed prior to cleavage using O-glycosidase..
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 9032-92-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 9,0,3 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 9032-92:
(6*9)+(5*0)+(4*3)+(3*2)+(2*9)+(1*2)=92
92 % 10 = 2
So 9032-92-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
