Total synthesis of abyssomicin C, atrop-abyssomicin C, and abyssomicin D: Implications for natural origins of atrop-abyssomicin C
Nicolaou,Harrison, Scott T.
, p. 429 - 440 (2007/10/03)
In this article, the total syntheses of the antibiotic abyssomicin C (1) and its biologically inactive sibling abyssomicin D (3) are described. A number of unforseen roadblocks in our synthetic plan encouraged innovation, which culminated in the discovery
Total synthesis of abyssomicin C and atrop-abyssomicin C
Nicolaou,Harrison, Scott T.
, p. 3256 - 3260 (2007/10/03)
(Figure Presented) Into the abyss: A total synthesis of abyssomicin C (1) through a metathesis-based strategy offers a highly convergent approach to the construction of analogues. A novel and potent atropisomer of the natural product 1 was thus discovered
