Triphenyltin nitrate (dimethylacetamide) is a chemical compound with the formula (C6H5)3Sn(NO3) and the structure of three phenyl groups attached to a tin atom, which is further connected to a nitrate group. It is a derivative of triphenyltin, a class of organotin compounds known for their applications as biocides and fungicides. The dimethylacetamide part of the name suggests that the compound may be solvated or complexed with dimethylacetamide, a polar aprotic solvent. Triphenyltin nitrate (dimethylacetamide) is used in various industrial and agricultural settings due to its antifungal properties, and it is also studied for its potential applications in material science. However, due to concerns about environmental persistence and toxicity, the use of organotin compounds like this is increasingly regulated.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 90430-99-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,0,4,3 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 90430-99:
(7*9)+(6*0)+(5*4)+(4*3)+(3*0)+(2*9)+(1*9)=122
122 % 10 = 2
So 90430-99-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Adducts of Triphenyltin Nitrate with Lewis Bases

Srivastava, T. N.,Kumar, P.

, p. 878 - 880 (2007/10/02)

The interaction of triphenyltin nitrate with some nitrogen and oxygen donor ligands has afforded several new 1:1 molecular adducts which have been characterised through elemental analyses, molar conductances, molecular weights and IR and PMR spectral data. The central tin atom in these adducts is five-coordinated, two positions being occupied by the covalently bonded unidentate nitrate group and the donor bases and the other three positions by the phenyl groups. The PMR data indicate that the three phenyl groups are coplanar.
