Triphenyltin nitrate (1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone) is a complex organic compound with the chemical formula C21H24NO2Sn. It is a derivative of triphenyltin, which is an organotin compound known for its applications as a fungicide and pesticide. The compound is characterized by the presence of a tin atom bonded to three phenyl groups and a nitrate group. The 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone part of the name refers to the specific ligand or solvent molecule associated with the triphenyltin nitrate, which in this case is a cyclic amine commonly used as a solvent and reaction medium. triphenyltin nitrate(1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone) is of interest in chemical research due to its potential applications in various fields, including agriculture and material science, as well as its unique chemical properties arising from the combination of organic and inorganic moieties.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 90431-00-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,0,4,3 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 90431-00:
(7*9)+(6*0)+(5*4)+(4*3)+(3*1)+(2*0)+(1*0)=98
98 % 10 = 8
So 90431-00-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Adducts of Triphenyltin Nitrate with Lewis Bases

Srivastava, T. N.,Kumar, P.

, p. 878 - 880 (2007/10/02)

The interaction of triphenyltin nitrate with some nitrogen and oxygen donor ligands has afforded several new 1:1 molecular adducts which have been characterised through elemental analyses, molar conductances, molecular weights and IR and PMR spectral data. The central tin atom in these adducts is five-coordinated, two positions being occupied by the covalently bonded unidentate nitrate group and the donor bases and the other three positions by the phenyl groups. The PMR data indicate that the three phenyl groups are coplanar.
