4-(3-hydroxy-propyl)-2-iodo-phenol is a complex organic compound with the molecular formula C9H11IO2. It is characterized by a phenol group (C6H5OH) with an iodine atom attached at the 2nd carbon position and a 3-hydroxypropyl chain attached to the 4th carbon position. This molecule is known for its unique chemical structure, which includes a hydroxyl group (-OH) on the propyl chain, enhancing its reactivity and solubility properties. It is often used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and other organic compounds due to its versatile functional groups. The presence of iodine also makes it a potential candidate for applications in radiopharmaceuticals or as an intermediate in the production of contrast agents for medical imaging.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 910303-09-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 9,1,0,3,0 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 910303-09:
(8*9)+(7*1)+(6*0)+(5*3)+(4*0)+(3*3)+(2*0)+(1*9)=112
112 % 10 = 2
So 910303-09-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and radioiodination of some 9-aminoacridine derivatives for potential use in radionuclide therapy

Ghirmai, Senait,Mume, Eskender,Lundqvist, Hans,Tolmachev, Vladimir,Sjoeberg, Stefan

, p. 855 - 871 (2007/10/03)

Three derivatives of the DNA intercalating compound 9-aminoacridine, were prepared and radioiodinated for biological experiments. The compounds are the stannyl derivatives 3-{4-[3-(acridin-9-ylamino)-propoxy]-3-trimethylstannyl- phenyl}-propionic acid and acridin-9-yl-{3-[4-(2-amino-ethyl)-2- trimethylstannyl-phenoxy]-propyl}-amine which were synthesized from the corresponding iodo derivatives by palladium catalyzed reactions, and 4-[2-(acridin-9-ylamino)-ethyl]-phenol. The two stannylated compounds and the phenol were used as precursors for radioiodination and were labeled with 125I using chloramine-T as an oxidant achieving high-to-excellent yields. Copyright
