Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 92832-31-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,2,8,3 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 92832-31:
(7*9)+(6*2)+(5*8)+(4*3)+(3*2)+(2*3)+(1*1)=140
140 % 10 = 0
So 92832-31-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Controlled release using mesoporous silica nanoparticles functionalized with 18-crown-6 derivative

Choi, Young Lan,Jaworski, Justyn,Seo, Moo Lyong,Lee, Soo Jin,Jung, Jong Hwa

supporting information; experimental part, p. 7882 - 7885 (2011/12/03)

Mesoporous silica nanoparticles were functionalized with an 18-crown-6 group as a gate molecule and the releasing capacity as a drug delivery system was controlled by the exchange reaction of "host-guest complex" with alkaline metal ions.

Crown-ether and azobenzene-containing liquid crystalline polymers: An influence of macromolecular architecture on optical properties and photo-orientation processes

Ryabchun, Alexander,Bobrovsky, Alexey,Medvedev, Alexey,Shibaev, Valery

scheme or table, p. 625 - 633 (2012/01/13)

A series of novel crown ether-containing photochromic comb-shaped liquid crystalline polyacrylates with different macromolecular structure of side groups were synthesized and investigated. Phase behavior, optical and photo-optical properties of thin spin-coated films of these polymers were studied. A special attention was paid to a comparative study of the photo-orientation phenomena occurring in the polymer films under a polarized light action. It was shown that complex formation with the potassium ions results in the decrease in degree of the photoinduced order that can be used for the creation of new materials for sensor devices.
