The invention discloses a preparation method of N-propyl amino quinolinone and application of the N-propyl amino quinolinone to synthesis of an abscisic acid agonist AM1 and a derivative thereof, which relate to the field of organic synthesis and chemical regulation. By taking quinolinone as an initial raw material, alkylation, nitration and hydrogenation-nitro reduction are conducted to obtain an intermediate 1-propyl-6-amino-3, 4-dihydro-2(1H)-quinolinone, and chemical combination is conducted on p-methylbenzylsulfonyl chloride and the 1-propyl-6-amino-3, 4-dihydro-2(1H)-quinolinone under the action of an acid-binding agent to prepare an abscisic acid agonist AM1. On the other hand, quinolinone is used as a starting raw material, alkylation, nitration and nitro reduction are performed to obtain an intermediate 1-propyl-6-aminohydrogen-2(1H)-quinolinone, and substituted benzyl sulfonyl chloride and the 1-propyl-6-amino-2(1H)-quinolinone are compounded under the action of an acid-binding agent to prepare the agonist AM1 derivative. The method provides a novel strategy for preparing the N-propyl amino quinolinone, the N-propyl amino quinolinone is applied to synthesis of the AM1 and the derivatives of the AM1, deep research, popularization and application of the AM1 and the derivatives of the AM1 are promoted, and the quinolinone is used as a starting raw material, so that the cost is effectively reduced, the practicability is high, and the application value and the economic value are relatively high.
