High iso Aldehyde Selectivity in the Hydroformylation of Short-Chain Alkenes
Iu, Leo,Fuentes, José A.,Janka, Mesfin E.,Fontenot, Kevin J.,Clarke, Matthew L.
supporting information, p. 2120 - 2124 (2019/01/25)
The hydroformylation of propene to give predominantly iso-butanal has been achieved; class-leading selectivity is possible even at higher temperatures that deliver fast conversion. Racemic rhodium complexes of bidentate phospholane phosphites derived from tropos-biphenols and unusual solvent systems are the key to the selectivity observed.
PHOSPHACYCLE COMPOUND AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
-
Paragraph 0344; 0345, (2018/10/30)
The invention relates to oligomerization of olefins, such as ethylene, to higher olefins, such as a mixture of 1-hexene and 1-octene, using a catalyst system that comprises a) a source of chromium b) one or more activators and c) a phosphacycle-containing ligating compound. Additionally, the invention relates to a phosphacycle-containing ligating compound and a process for making said compound.
Enantiomerically pure 1,2,5-triphenylphospholane through the synthesis and resolution of the chiral trans-(2,5)-diphenylphospholanic acid
Guillen, Frederic,Fiaud, Jean-Claude
, p. 2939 - 2942 (2007/10/03)
The synthesis and resolution of trans-(2,5)-diphenylphospholanic acid 7 is described. The phosphinic acid 7 was converted into optically active (1,2,5)-triphenylphospholane 5 which was used as a chiral ligand in Rh- catalyzed hydrogenation of N-acetyl deh
