Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 95349-35-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,5,3,4 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 95349-35:
(7*9)+(6*5)+(5*3)+(4*4)+(3*9)+(2*3)+(1*5)=162
162 % 10 = 2
So 95349-35-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Syntheses of New Optically Active Organosilanes and Their Applications for the Optical-Purity-Determining Agents

Terunuma, Daiyo,Kato, Masato,Kamei, Masanao,Uchida, Hidekatsuu,Ueno, Satoshi,Nohira, Hiroyuki

, p. 3581 - 3588 (2007/10/02)

New optically active organosilicon compounds such as (benzylmethylphenylsilyl)acetic acid (1) and (ethylmethylphenylsilyl)acetic acid (2) were synthesized.Application of these acids as the optical purity determining agents for chiral amines and alcohols were successfully carried out.In addition, it was also revealed that optically active (benzylmethylphenylsilyl)methylamine (3) and methylamine (4) are able to be used as the optical purity determining agents for chiral carboxylic acids.
