Sequential Peripheral Cyclopropanation as a Synthetic Approach to Cyclosubstituted Triangulanes
Zefirov, Nikolai S.,Kuznetsova, Tamara S.,Eremenko, Olga V.,Kokoreva, Olga V.,Zatonsky, George,Ugrak, Bogdan I.
, p. 4087 - 4089 (1994)
A general scheme for the synthesis of cyclosubstituted triangulanes has been developed, based on sequential bromocyclopropanation of the C=C bond and elimination, giving repeatedly the endomethylenecyclopropane framework with termination of the sequence of the cyclopropanation.
Synthesis of Alycyclic Spiropentanes
Kuznetsova,Yeremenko,Kokoreva,Zefirov
, p. 863 - 869 (2007/10/03)
Synthetic approach to polycyclic structures with spiropentane fragment included in the main ring was developed using [1+2]cycloaddition of halocarbenes and dihalocarbenes to cyclooctene and 1,5-cyclooctadiene followed by dehydrohalogeneation of the adducts and cyclopropanation of the olefins formed. A series of alicyclic cyclopropanes of various structute was prepared with an eight-membered and nine-membered main ring.
Syntheses and equilibria of fused bicyclic methylenecyclopropanes
Kende, Andrew S.,Riecke, Edgar E.
, p. 383 - 384 (2007/10/10)
Isomeric bicyclic methylenecyclopropanes, obtained from carbenoid ring contraction of bicyclic cyclobutanones, exhibit extraordinarily clean thermal equilibria which is entropy-controlled near the boundaries of Bredt's rule.
