The role of symmetrical diaryl and phenyl aryl oxalates in peroxyoxalate chemiluminescence was studied.Maximum emitted light intensity and decay constant of light emission was measured as a function of oxalate, hydrogen peroxide and fluorescer concentration.Data permitted a suggestion for the mechanism of the reaction and its rate determining step.
