A new regioselective method of synthesizing functionally substituted pyridouracils from 2,N-dicyanoacetamidine is proposed. 3-Cyanopyridinecyanoimidines and 4-amino-2-bromopyridopyrimidine hydrobromides were obtained as intermediate compounds.The structures of the compounds obtained were established by data of elemental analysis, NMR, IR, and mass spestra.
