2-Anilino-1,6-dihydro-6-oxo-5-pyrimidinecarboxylic acid derivatives of the formula: STR1 wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different and are each hydrogen, an alkoxy, a tetrahydrofurylalkoxy, an alkyl, an alkoxycarbonyl, a halogen, a dialkylamino, hydroxy, trifluoromethyl, or nitro, and R3 is hydrogen or an alkyl, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which have excellent anti-allergic activities and are useful, particularly for the prophylaxis and treatment of allergic asthma, and processes for the preparation thereof, and anti-allergic agent containing said compounds as an active ingredient.
