In solution, (THF)2U(BH4)4 and (HMPA)2U(BH4)4 adopt a trans-configuration, whereas (Ph3PO)2U(BH4)4 exists as an equilibrium mixture of two isomers.Thermolysis of (DME)U(BH4)4 gives the corresponding uranium (IV) hydride (DME)U(BH4)3H.Raction of U(BH4)4 with TlCp or cyclopentadiene in toluene gives CpU(BH4)3.
