Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 99838-33-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,9,8,3 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 99838-33:
(7*9)+(6*9)+(5*8)+(4*3)+(3*8)+(2*3)+(1*3)=202
202 % 10 = 2
So 99838-33-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

High π-route reactivity in the tropene system. Absence of a nitrogen acceleration effect

Murr, Brown L.,Parkhill, Billy J.,Nickon, Alex

, p. 4845 - 4862 (2007/10/02)

Solvolyses of a suitably constructed tropene tosylate and its unsaturated carbocyclic analog show that the amino function, despite its suitable spatial location, does not enhance the π-route assistance but reduces it slightly.

Transannular Interactions in Difunctional Medium Rings. 1. n/? Interactions in Cyclic Amino Ketones and Aminoalkenes Studied by Photoelectron Spectroscopy

Spanka, Gerhard,Rademacher, Paul

, p. 592 - 596 (2007/10/02)

The He I photoelectron spectra of the cyclic and bicyclic amino ketones 1-4 and aminoalkenes 5-8 have been recorded and interpreted with respect to transannular interactions of the functional groups. The interactions have been determined by comparing the spectra of 1-8 with those of the monofunctional compounds 9-20.For 1-4 the nO ionization can be considered as an indicator of transannular interaction. For 5-8 the amount of interaction is measured by the shifts of the nN and the ?CC orbitals. The results indicate considerable n/? interactions in the eight-membered rings of 2 and 6.Of the compounds with a ten-membered ring, there is only interaction in amino ketone 3, while it is virtually absent in aminoalkene 7.Conformations are proposed to account for these findings.
