Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by dichloro-methyl-vinyl-silane at the temperature of 20 °C. This reaction will need reagent H2O and solvent toluene with the reaction time of 27 hours. The yield is about 24%.

2,4,6,8-Tetravinyl-2,4,6,8-tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane can be prepared by dichloro-methyl-vinyl-silane at the temperature of 20 °C

Uses of 2,4,6,8-Tetravinyl-2,4,6,8-tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane: it can be used to produce 4-vinyl-benzoic acid ethyl ester at the temperature of 20 °C. It will need reagent TBAF and solvent tetrahydrofuran with the reaction time of 10 min. This reaction will also need catalyst Pd(dba)2. The yield is about 85%.
