2-Methylanthracene (CAS NO.613-12-7) with 2 - Methyl-anthracene and Anthracene, dimethyl anthracene as raw materials, synthetic resin copolymer can be used as coatings, plastics, fluorescent agents and reagents .
Raw materials :ANTHRACENE OIL
With Anthracene oil as raw material, distillation to obtain fraction, this fraction at 352-365°C,adding the fraction into industrial ethanol, heating to be dissolved, put it aside for cooling to 50°C, filtered of impurities. Filtrate cool to room temperature, filtration. Adding filter cake into the 10% Sulfuric acid until the pH value of 2-3, filter, and then adding filter cake into 10% Sodium hydroxide solution to pH = 7-8, filter. Crystallization recrystallization with Pyridine , or continue to recrystallized using Ethanol, obtaining 2 - Methyl-anthracene.
