A device used in the papermaking industry to reclaim wastewater containing suspended solids (fiber, pigment, etc.) for further processing. There are three types: (1) sedimentation, (2) vacuum filter, and (3) flotation. Types 1 and 2 are large tanks made of tile or concrete, type 3 is a rotary vacuum filter drum that separates solids from wastewater.
