Preparation of Nickel(II) acetate (1:2): At first, add Ni(NO3)2·6H2O into acetic anhydride. Then heat the mixture until fierce reaction. After the reaction, via a series of cooling, washing by ethanoic anhydride and ethyl ether, vacuum drying in 80-90 °C you can get the desired product. The equation is as follows: Ni(NO₃)₂·6H₂O+6(CH₃CO)₂O→Ni(CH₃COO)₂+2NO₂+12O₂+10CH₃COOH+H₂O.
